“Buddy helped me to figure out why I am on the planet and how my gifts can best be used to further the Kingdom”
“Buddy helped me believe I was ready to launch my cafe and even gave me a loan to help me get started”
Bay Sareephan – Founder, Bay’s Cafe
“Buddy helped us to work through some team issues and come out on the other side better and stronger for it”
Evan McCall – Co Owner Expat Homes
Buddy, The last 8 months have been one of the richest seasons of my life. I think God can and does use you to help people become the richest versions of themselves. This has been a huge season of growth and life change for me. I feel like I am different guy than the one that started this program and that’s great. I just want to let you know how much I loved the program.
Areas of Instruction
We use a variety of learning methods, including typical university style lecture and discussion, Zoom meetings with leading experts in their fields from around the world, audiobooks while traveling, videos, and other online resources. We are big believers in learning by doing. The technical and marketing skills you will learn by working on actual projects that will move our business further. Below are some of the core subjects we will cover.
Mt Everest Base Camp Trek
6 weeks into the school year, we will do the best team building exercise ever: a 12 day trek to the Mt Everest Base Camp. This video will give you a realistic idea of the hike. Our trip should be a little warmer, as it will be in October, which is generally regarded as the best time to hike. We will also have a guide and porters, so that you only have to carry a light pack. We’ll have insurance in case you get a bad case of altitude sickness and need a flight down the mountain. You do need to be in shape BEFORE you start the BAM school.
The Graduation Europe Trip
Places we will be visiting during the Graduation Trip:
Lake Bled, Slovenia
Izola, Slovenia on the Adriatic Sea
Umag, Croatia on the Adriatic Sea
Trieste, Italy on the Adriatic Sea
Italian Rivera ~ Cinque Terra, Italy ~
This trip is less about contacts and training and more about celebration, reflection and planning the next steps in your journey. You will be changed by our time together and need time to process as well as create a strategy to see your vision come to fruition.
We will be traveling in a Ford Transit or Mercedes Sprinter Van and staying in AirBNB locations.

Are you one of us?
We are looking for adventurous 18-30 year olds who want to create or be part of a business that will allow them the freedom to live out the purpose that they feel God has created them for. These are the kind of people who are looking for something more fulfilling than the American Dream.
What will I walk away with besides amazing memories?
1. You will have the ability to buy your own business or be a business builder. Over the course of the program we will help train you in one of our business models that is right for you. Our business models provide a full time income with a work week less than 20 hours. This isn’t so that you can sit on the beach the rest of the week. We want you to have the time and energy to be 100% engaged in the process of making disciples wherever God calls you to. .
2. You will become a confident disciple maker. Have you ever dreaded something, and then you went out and accomplished it and realized it wasn’t that bad? Making disciples is often like that before you have done it. You’ll learn a simple transferable process and be trained and get hands on experience in the most effective methods and strategies for making disciples.
3. Adventure. We will have many different opportunities in Chiang Mai to experience different adventures: hiking, waterfalls, exploring the city. In addition, we will visit a number of other places during the year, including Australia, England, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, and Switzerland. Visiting all those places is a blast in and of itself, but doing it with a group of energetic Christians, while growing and learning more about your faith and business is an opportunity you don’t want to miss. And the reality is, both business and making disciples are awesome adventures in themselves.
4. Furthering the Cause of BAM around the World. Our primary task during the year will be working on a BAM project that can allow Chrisians to have the time, money, energy, and freedom through a business to be able to be involved in mission anywhere in the world, with the skills and know-how to further a disciple making movement through business.
Days Until BAM School Starts (Sept 15, 2021)

Frequently Asked Questions
How safe is Thailand?
Thailand is very safe overall. There is very little crime, especially in the neighborhood that we operate out of. When our kids were in sixth grade we began to let them use public transportation into town.
Can I get a driver's license?
Yes, you are welcome to get a driver’s license during your time here in Thailand. We do not let students get a motorcycle license in the interest of safety, but if you are already an experienced motorcycle rider, there will be an opportunity for day trips up in the mountains, either on dirt bikes or road bikes.
How many students are you accepting?
We are accepting a maximum of 10 students for the 2021 school year.
What if I need to go to a wedding or other event?
Please let us know in your application or as soon as you are aware of an event. It is expensive to fly from Thailand to the US or Europe. If you have an event you would like to attend, you will be responsible for your own expenses.
What costs will I incur?
Your travel, lodging, food, and teaching expenses are all covered. If you would like a cell phone plan, they can run as low as $10 a month. Extra drinks, snacks, or gifts will be your responsibility. We will pay for some of the adventure items that we want everyone to be a part of, but you will have the opportunity for extra things, such as surfing in Australia or paragliding in Europe that are not covered by the program.
What will a typical day look like?
Breakfast and time with God on your own.
8:30-10:30 Discipleship Training or Business, depending on the day of the week. (Worship and Prayer one day a week from 8:30-9:30)
11:00 – 12:00 Business Skills Development
1:00 – 3:30 Business Building Project
4:00 – 5:00 Personal Development Project (Write a book, Learn to code, Start a vlog or podcast)
7:00 Grow time Mon-Thurs (Reading, enjoying community, games, meetups)
What will a typical week look like?
When we are on the road there will generally be a lower key day once a week, but the other days will be more busy. We do provide plenty of time to reflect, read, and think while we are traveling. When we are at our home base Monday-Friday, the schedule will look like the timetable above, and the weekends are generally free. Some Saturdays will include required team building adventures, and some will be optional. Sundays are generally free with the exception of church and a group lunch.
What sports and activities are readily available?
Soccer, basketball, badminton, ultimate frisbee, hiking, and weight lifting(gym fee required) are all available. Some of these will require transportation and you may need to pay for an Uber or have a driver’s license and use one of the team vehicles if it is free.
What if I have food allergies/health issues?
Let us know of any food allergies or health issues ahead of time. We have had people with different issues over the years, but we have also had two people unable to complete the program because of the issues they were facing regarding diet. Please be up front in the beginning so we can make sure this is a great experience for you.
How do I apply? What if I have more questions?
You can apply by clicking here. If you have any questions you can connect with Buddy at firstname.lastname@example.org or call or text at 1.540.632.1759.
What about COVID? At this point, we are hoping that the vaccine will allow the numbers to come down so that we can travel in 2021-22. If the numbers do not come down and worldwide travel is still difficult 9 months from now, we look to start in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where the school is based, and hope to travel in the spring of 2022. Thailand has done a great job of containing COVID, and with the exception of wearing masks in public, very little has changed here. Restaurants, gyms, and movie theaters are still open and we are able to go about our lives with very little difference.
